Celebration of National Tree Day in Burundi/Célébration de la Journée Nationale de l’Arbre au Burundi. Edition 2019

And as we celebrate a Burundi National Tree Day in the Political Capital of the country, it is an occasion to plant around 27,665 trees in the hillside of Rusarasi ward, Giheta Municipality, Gitega, central Burundi.
In their official speech, authorities of the environment ministry appealed every Burundians to protect environment by tree plantation in their communities, farms and esp. at every uncovered hillside.
An appeal to collaboration was given to every government sector, NGOs, FBOs, army and police, business men… to join their efforts to protect our land, thus contribute to the mitigation of climate change effects. Every donor and individual was appealed to contribute to the plantation of trees in Burundi.

CEPBU joins the Ministry in charge of environment to thank all those who participated in the success of this event, which is so important for raising awareness among the masses about environmental protection in Burundi.

Pendant que nous célébrons la Journée Nationale de l’Arbre au Burundi dans la capitale politique du pays, c’est l’occasion de planter environ 27 665 arbres sur la colline Rusarasi, commune de Giheta, centre du Burundi.
Dans leur discours officiel, les autorités du Ministère ayant l’Environnement dans ses attributions ont appelé tous les Burundais à protéger l’environnement par la plantation d’arbres dans leurs communautés, terres arables (dans leurs champs) et principalement sur chaque colline dénudée.
Un appel à la collaboration a été lancé à tous les secteurs gouvernementaux, ONG, FBO, armée et police, hommes d’affaires … pour unir leurs efforts pour protéger nos terres, contribuant ainsi à l’atténuation des effets du changement climatique.
Chaque donateur et individu a été appelé à contribuer à la plantation d’arbres au Burundi.

La CEPBU se joint au Ministère ayant l’environnement dans ses attribution pour remercier tous ceux qui ont participé à la réussite de cet événement aussi important pour la sensibilisation du public à la protection de l’environnement au Burundi.
